Tonight, or rather in a couple hours, DJ AM and Glitch Mob prepare to reinvent and rock the sound styling’s of LA. If you haven’t been to Low End Theory when Edit was resident, or never caught the Glitch on tour be prepared to have your concept of sound taken to a new level. Yes, the guest list is already closed and yes its tonight, but you might as well know about it anyway.

Okay..this video is pretty damn funny. I normally don’t post things like this…but I couldn’t resist to this one..especially around minute 1:52 when the guy is laughing at him while the porno sound is still playing in the background…hahahah classic. The worst. “you think this is fu**ing funny?!!” hahahaha I seriously could rewind 1:52 and hear that guys laugh all day long…and why on earth is he sticking his finger up his butt?!..Just watch.

Folks, Mayer Hawthorne is the real deal. How many artists get signed to Stones throw after releasing two songs? Well, this is one of the cats out here making real music. I had a recent chance to catch him at the Echoplex. Mayer and Sharon Jones are the ones repping hard for Soul music right now.

The Detroit native, now LA migrant, is making headlines with the likes of Gilles Peterson, Mark Ronson, and music lovers everywhere. Mayer has a great story. He was making this music by himself, for only the few folks to appreciate it (family & friends) and then gets picked up by PB Wolf to create a whole album’s worth of material. Talking about living the dream.

Oh yeah, did I mention he plays all the instruments himself, Hawthorne produces for his group Now on as well as with DJ’s under the name Haircut.
