4-million households still hungry!

It is in Manila, Philippine. About four million Filipino households nationwide continue to experience hunger. The number of families reporting hunger has reached 21.1%.

The number of Filipino families suffering from severe hunger rose by 1.4 per cent in the past three months, now totaling to 780,000 families.

Finally had a chance to try Honey’s Kettle with the homies, Larry ( DJ Predakon) and Arash ( DJ Shammy Dee). I’ve been dying to try one of the best fried chicken spots on earth, this place puts all other fried chicken spots to shame. Don’t even think about comparing this spot to KFC or Popeye’s, it is beyond sacrilegious. Oh yeah, one more thing get the biscuits, they are so heavenly, light and divine, it melts in your mouth smoother than butter sauteed lobster.

Larry is on is way to tour in Taiwan for a month, and Arash just got back from Texas, and worked with Talib Kweli, you can also catch him in the Gamespot commerical. Its good to see friends doing their thing.

Strawberry Harvest Day Begins – The Myth

The Harvest season of Strawberries have started in the German area of Lower Saxony. These early strawberries are grown under foil. From next week onwards strawberries from uncovered growing areas are expected. The season will run till the end of September. Look at the strawberry’s form. Heart-shaped, covered in seeds, green spiky top. By now most of you have probably figured this out: the strawberry is supposed to inspire lust. Strawberries have special meaning in the northeastern United States. Because strawberries are the first fruit of the year to ripen, they are associated with spring and rebirth. The Seneca also say that strawberries grow along the path to the heavens and that they can bring good health.

Taking his hand, his wife led him back down the path to their home, feeding him strawberries on the way.. Strawberry are scientifically proven aphrodisiac foods for great sex life. These foods are not only stimulating for your hormones, they are healthy as well. All of these foods have a sensuous history, seductive shape and are nutritious to the core.

We got into Hong Kong last Thursday May 6th. The weather was not the best, hot, humid, and showers and thunders at night. Nevertheless we had a great time, as usual, in this multi dimensional and international city. Everything you want is available. We had great time visiting many of the malls and shopping areas. We experienced the sea food at the Lei Yue Mun sea village . There you walk through stalls and shops selling fresh sea food of all kinds. many you know and many you wander what they are? After you see the type of fish you like, you will buy it and they will take it to one of the at Shore restaurant where the will prepare it and cook it to your desire.

Legal or not Legal?

If you happened to be in the Boston area, you do not want to miss the legendary “Legal Sea Foods” restaurant. They are in ten Eastern states, but in Massachusetts they have over ten restaurants.

We just got in late in Burlington MA. north of Boston flying from Los Angeles to meet clients tomorrow. We were hungry and wanted to have some of the North Eastern flavor of tasty seafood. So we headed toward the Burlington Mall where the “Legal Sea Food” restaurant located. We had good expectations, but we were also skeptical.

It is Sunday night around 7:00 PM eastern Time. The restaurant was packed. It looked good and the food smelled appetizing.

We sat and went through the menu. Good selections of appetizers and main courses. We decided on the calamari to start with followed by spoon liking Clam Chowders – just to die for..

This was just the start. I decided to have the Grilled Haddock with assparagus nd mash potatos.

My partner R.C. decide to go all out and have the REAL Bostonian Seafood two pounds North Eastern Steamed Lobster…

This was not the end of eating experience.

We topped it with deserts. The Belgian Chocolate Mousse Parfait

And this was not sweet enough. We had Bananas Foster – sautéed bananas, hot rum caramel sauce, vanilla ice cream.. yummmmm..

To help digest the food I had a cup of Cappuccino and R.C. had Crimson Berry Caffeine-free Herbal Tea..

Tomorrow we have to visit clients. But the memory and the enjoyment of great food will be with us for a while.

The “Legal Sea Foods” has a full bar and an ambience of being in the sea…..
