Many of us grew up on both of these series, finally after more than a decade of Fight madness we will see this collaboration. Because of branding and rivarly, I thought I would never see the day, but the trailer of Street Fighter “Cross” Tekken, debuted at Comicon this weekend.

“Street Fighter X Tekken,” the long-rumored crossover game between the legendary fighting series, was announced at the Street Fighter Mania panel at Comic-Con International on July 23. The producers of the two game series went head-to-head against each other in an early playable version of the game, giving fans a sneak peak how the game will play. This was just one of many announcements regarding the “Street Fighter” series made at the panel.

Street Fighter X Tekken is in development for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and will feature warriors from the two bastions of the fighting genre coming together for the first time. Capcom says the game will use the same technology that powered Street Fighter IV.

Tekken characters like Kazuya Mishima and Nina Williams will make the transition into the Street Fighter universe having been re-imagined using the much loved art style of the Street Fighter games while “retaining their unique characteristics and signature moves”.

I’m sure if this machine actually does exist, don’t be surprised if a camera or two pops up near-by to record those who wish to use it’s services; it won’t slip under any police departments radar, that’s for sure.

Mike Gao – Computer music researcher/beat producer Mike Gao has transitioned from releasing rapper-based music under Chi-town label Galapagos4, to rocking all original instrumental sets at Low End Theory and winning beat battles at Project Blowed & Mighty4. He has a release, All City LA Series 6×10 due out in June.

eLan – Quite a buzz has been around this LA-native producer, with tracks like Healthmaster 3000 with Marzio finding their way onto countless blogs and mixes. He has material coming out on Jay Scarlett’s U-Beat Records, and is a respected and key contributor to the San Diego beat scene.

Marzio – Young German beat producer/DJ, Marzio has made a name for himself in the SD scene, crafting future beats with eLan, as well as tracks with his rap group, the Hill People.

Dj Cleancut – Has been making quite a lot of noise DJing the top hip-hop shows of SD and holding down weeklies. Known for digging and finding rare originals. Be prepared!

This is the first 4 minutes of Cut Chemist as he gives a demonstration and performance at a DJ Workshop at Freak City. Freak City is a LA-centric multimedia retail shop and event space.

This is dope. Although still a concept, Mexico city design agency AGENT has developed a soccer ball with GPS-like functionality. In essence, this tracking system can alert officials as to whether or not a ball is in-bounds or has crossed a goal line. The technology includes accelerometer based velocity tracking to detect aspects of force and pressure being able to detect pressure and force.

from Agent: ‘CTRUS’ functional principle is based on the mechanical properties of its materials. it is composed by an inner structure (skelle-core) and an outer net-embedded shell, made out of reinforced elastomers. These pieces have different durometer according to its structural location. the flexibility provided by its materials, emulates the bounce of an inflated pneumatic soccer ball, but offers the advantage of not loosing air. CTRUS doesn’t need air in order to perform.
